    • arafat21

The root of the C drive is C:, if your files in not under any sub-folder means it’s on root.

flash boot.img is get struck with waiting for devices

    • arafat21

That clearly mean your device driver isn’t properly installed or your device isn’t detected by your computer. If you are using desktop computer then use USB port located back of the cabinet.

  • Shyam Jadhav

When I’m trying to install zip from sd card, its giving an error of “get prop” and saying

    “Error in /sd card/FXP203-cm-10-20130119-UNOFFICIAL-coconut.zip” (status 7)
    Installation aborted.

    What to do??? Please help..

    • arafat21

Flash the boot.img first and then the ROM. This should work then. Status 7 error occurred when you flash the zip on different device or don’t run supported kernel.

      • Shyam Jadhav

I hv flashed the boot.img but now after “Free Xperia” display going blank.. Also I’m not able to enter in recovery mode..

      • Shyam Jadhav

Oohoo.. Lol! I hv done it! Running Jelly bean now… :)

But 1 loophole is there my xperia keyboard is not working..

Any help for that??? I hv insatlled gapps 20121212-signed.. is tht correct?

        • arafat21

You flashed wrong Gapps. That’s for CM10.1 you should flash gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip If your keyboard not working then try to find any third part keyboard app on Google Play.

          • Shyam Jadhav

            Google play also not working..

          • arafat21

You didn’t check that out. Only way to find best is just flash it and try it out.

Probably not as you already have a CM10 compatible kernel installed.

is it necessary to root the phone before flashing a custom
rom……….. unlocked bootloader isn’t enough for flashing a custom
    rom?? &

do we need to install cwm recovery app or not after
unlocking the bootloader cz same is available within the .zip file of
    the custom rom??

    • arafat21

There are many features in CM10 and many other custom ROM that require root. Custom recovery such as CWM recovery is absolutely necessary to flash any custom ROM.

      • rohit

actually m on stock rom of ics for lww….so as per your sggn i hv to first root the stock ics rom then unlock the bootloader n after that install cwm recovery app… only then i can go ahead wd the custom rom flashing procedure cz flashing of custom rom requires to boot in recovery mode… ?? if m wrong please provide the correct sequence of the above stated steps…..

        • arafat21

First unlock your bootloader. Then root and install CWM recovery. Now follow our tutorial to flash the ROM.
