This working custom ROM is actually an AOKP 4.1.1 build for Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300. This latest unofficial AOKP custom rom which is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean offer many customization options as well as improved performance over stock ROMs. If you are using Ice Cream Sandwich in your device then this custom ROM is very good to upgrade it into latest Jelly Bean release which give you more security and functions.
Compatibility
This guide below is compatible only and only with the Galaxy Tab 8.9, model number P7300. It’s not compatible with any other Galaxy Tab variant such as GT-P7310. Check your device model in Settings» About tablet.
Note: This AOKP build is an alpha build and most of the feature and additional customization work perfectly when tested, there may be still some bugs and issues. Another thing to note is, you won’t get as many customization option as you used to see in previous AOKP build as this is just an alpha build. More customization and features will be included as development progress.

Pre Requisites:
Backup your data first using below mentioned instructions, so that if you lost any data you can recover it easily.
SMS & Call Log – Use SMS, MMS & Call Log Entries Backup & Restore App
Contacts & Settings – Use Android default backup options.
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to Internal/External SD card.
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

- You already have USB Driver Installed for Samsung Galaxy Tab in your PC. If not then download and install Kies.
