Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 tablet received the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update with the help of custom Jelly Bean ROM AOKP 4.1.1 build 2. This AOKP 4.1.1 Jelly Bean build 2 will work on any P51XX variants of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 such as GT-P5113, GT-P5110 and GT-P5100. The Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean based custom ROM AOKP 4.1.1 build 2 comes with several useful customization as well as bring Jelly Bean features including smooth as butter interface, improved and actionable notifications, advanced voice recognition service, smarter keyboard, offline voice typing, Google Now app for useful info (like traffic, weather, sports, etc without user intervention) and more.

Compatibility

This guide below is compatible only and only with the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, model number P5100. It’s not compatible with any other Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 variant. Check your device model in Settings» About tablet.

Pre Requisites:

SMS & Call LogUse SMS, MMS & Call Log Entries Backup & Restore App
Contacts & SettingsUse Android default backup options.
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to Internal/External SD card.
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Important!

  2. You already have USB Driver Installed for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 in your PC. If not then download and install Kies.
  3. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled. [Guide]
  4. A rooted Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
  5. You should already have ClockworkMod recovery installed on it.
