T-Mobile Galaxy S2 T989 received Jelly Bean update thanks to Paranoid Android custom ROM which also based on another Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean custom ROM CM10 (nightly). Galaxy S2 T989 is an awesome handset that feature a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM and comes with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread out of the box.
The Paranoid Android custom ROM bring customize Jelly Bean experience to Galaxy S2. The ROM feature a true Hybrid Mode which ultimately lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even system components individually. You can easily switch mode that comes with Paranoid Android which is PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI.
Along with several impressive customization you can also enjoy stock JB features including smoother interface, advanced voice recognition and search functionality, better keyboard, improved and actionable notifications area. Here, you should note that this custom Jellybean ROM installation process will wipe all your phone data, hence you need to follow a proper backup procedure to restore those data.
This guide is compatible only and only with international version of T-Mobile Galaxy S2, model number T989. It’s not compatible with any other Galaxy S2 variant. Check your device’s model number in: Settings » About phone.

SMS & Call Log – Use SMS, MMS & Call Log Entries Backup & Restore App
Contacts & Settings – Use Android default backup options.
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to Internal/External SD card.
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

- You already have USB Driver Installed for Samsung Galaxy S2. If not then you should download and install Kies.
