I tried flashing this but this happened:
    hidden.img.md5
    __Xmit Write fail
    XmitData Fail..
    Complete(Write) operation failed.
All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Now I cant boot my phone it shows some yellow triangle.
    Anyone else with this problem?

  • David Mullineux

Did this and all worked. Can make calls and APN networksettings were retained from previous version of Gingerbread. However, now phone will not connect to any data network. Not sure if this is bug or by design as the firmware came from a Portuguese carrier ( foreign to my country )

    • arafat21

This is carrier branded firmware. Wait for a carrier unbranded one.

    can apply on i8160P ?

    • arafat21

No, both model have separate firmware.

Upgrade also worked well for me, however; sim card not detected is my only problem, went back to original GB and it all works. Any help with this problem will be cool.

    • arafat21

Two thing to try. First try re-inserting the SIM, if that not work then reflash the firmware. There is no other solution we know if SIM card isn’t detected by device.

  • arafat21

This firmware is carrier branded hence only work with TMN subscriber in Portugal. Wait for a non-carrier branded firmware. We will cover it as soon as the firmware available for download.

I just updated to the portuguese TMN jelly bean rom using odin. It was simple enough, but I can’t use my 3G or any mobile data network. When I’m wifi everything works fine although my RAM is now really low – 482MB – is there a way to fix these two problems?

I’m using a gt-i8160 bought in Vietnam and using it on the Veittel network.

    • arafat21

Check your APN setting. You may need to manually enter your 3G setting there.

  • arafat21

China version of firmware shouldn’t work anywhere outside China.
