How To Install Android 4.1.2 CM10 Jelly Bean on Xperia ion HSPA LT28h

Sony yet to release Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Xperia ion HSPA LT28h though its on plan. You can wait for Sony to upgrade your Xperia ion HSPA LT28h to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean or go through this article to install even better Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Yes! You can now upgrade Xperia ion HSPA LT28h to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean by installing CM10 custom firmware. The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean based CM10 ROM released under FreeXperia project. This CM10 build is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and comes with many custom tweaks and features.

Here, you should note this CM10 ROM for Xperia ion HSPA is under development and may have bugs and issues. All issues will be fixed as the development progress.

SMS & Call LogUse SMS, MMS & Call Log Entries Backup & Restore App
Contacts & SettingsUse Android default backup options.
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to Internal/External SD card.
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names


  1. Make sure your device have at least 80% battery power. [How to Check Battery Percentage in Android Phones]
  2. You already have USB Driver Installed for Xperia ion HSPA in your PC. [USB Driver].
  3. Bootloader is unlocked. [Go to –>]
  4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled. [Guide].
  5. ClockworkMod Recovery Installed [Guide].
  6. Make sure ADB is installed. [Guide] [Required to flash CM10 kernel]

    dnes jsem našel někde že pro potřebný mód co jsem potřeboval musím vypnout telefon a podržet hlasitost dolů+nahoru a tlačítko power ale teď telefon nereaguje na nic jen při nabíjení svítí slabě červená dioda poraďte prosím

      The procedure you mentioned is the standard procedure for Samsung device. For Sony device, few support Back button and few Volume Down. In this case Volume Down is required.

    tak už jsem to vyřešil odpojením baterie ale při instalaci skočí error sd card/ (status 7)

      Status 7 error happen when your device is different than what we mentioned above. If that not the case then first flash the kernel and then try flashing ROM. Make sure you already taken Nandroid backup. We updated the download link with latest firmware, hope that fix your issues.

      Boot into CWM recovery and then perform wiping task 5 more times. It usually fix the issue.

          Just perform Wipe data, Wipe Cache Partition, Wipe Dalvik Cache partition one after another just you do normally.
